Data Delivery Engineer @Operational Excellence
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Delivery Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data pipelines that are critical to our business operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating robust, scalable, and efficient ETL/ELT processes to move and transform data from various sources into our central data warehouse and other analytical systems.
You will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, available, and accessible for reporting, analysis, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust and scalable data integration processes (ETL, ELT, and API-based).
Data Pipeline Construction: Build data pipelines to extract data from a wide variety of sources, including relational databases (SQL Server), NoSQL databases, SaaS applications (e.g., Salesforce, Zuora ), APIs, and flat files.
Data Transformation: Implement complex data transformations, cleansing, and validation rules to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity within our data warehouse and data lake.
Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of data integration jobs and data pipelines to meet service-level agreements (SLAs).
Collaboration: Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data integration solutions.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for data pipelines, data models, processes, and data flows.
Data Modeling: Assist in the design and implementation of data models (e.g., star schemas, snowflake schemas) in the data warehouse to support BI and analytics needs.
Technology & Tools: Evaluate and recommend new data integration tools and technologies to improve efficiency and capabilities.
Data Governance: Implement and adhere to data security, privacy, and governance best practices throughout the data lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Min 3+ years of hands-on experience in a data integration, ETL development, or data engineering role.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Google Big Query , Azure SQL Server ).
Hands-on experience with one or more data integration/ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica PowerCenter, Microsoft SSIS, Fivetran ).
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling principles, and database design.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Google Cloud Project : Dataflow, Cloud Functions, BigQuery.
Experience with modern data stack tools like dbt (Data Build Tool).
Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs for data integration.
Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI) for data pipelines.
Experience with Google Apps scripts.
Familiarity with Python.
