ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior .Net Developer who thrives on modernizing complex legacy systems and driving large-scale technical transformations. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the modernization of our mission-critical financial platform. You will take ownership of solving significant technical debt and reshaping the technical foundation of our product for the next decade.

You believe strongly in the power of AI-assisted engineering and leverage AI tools as an integral part of your workflow to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and enable continuous modernization.

Key Responsibilities:

You will work on some of the most impactful modernization challenges in our landscape, including:

• Upgrading our platform from .NET Framework 4.8 to .NET 8

• Replacing legacy technologies such as Spring.NET and NHibernate with modern, scalable alternatives

• Refactoring legacy code modules into clean, maintainable, and testable components

• Migrating outdated HTML-based web services to a React-based frontend

• Decoupling monolithic components into independent microservices

• Implementing parallel processing to replace current sequential workflows

• Migrating infrastructure from on-premise VMs to Azure App Services

• Improving scalability, observability, maintainability, and performance across the entire platform

• Driving architectural decision-making and promoting engineering best practices

• Helping define coding standards and building a culture of modernization and automation

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

• You are a modernization expert with at least 10 years of experience in transforming and renewing existing enterprise systems.

• You are energized by solving deep technical challenges and reducing years of accumulated technical debt.

• You are convinced that AI is essential to accelerate modernization and maximize engineering impact—and you actively use AI tools in your daily engineering work.

• You are a natural problem solver who can translate complex legacy landscapes into clear, achievable modernization paths.

• You combine strong technical experience with a pragmatic mindset and a drive to deliver clean, future-proof solutions.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• Proven expertise of at least 5 years in .NET (Framework and .NET 6/7/8)

• Strong experience of at least 5 years with large-scale refactoring, code restructuring, and system modernization

• Deep experience (at least 5 years) with legacy-to-modern technology transitions

• Understanding of enterprise architecture, microservices, domain-driven design

• Experience of at least 5 years with CI/CD, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software engineering (Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools)

NICE TO HAVE (BIG PLUSE)

• Extensive knowledge of modern Azure services, including Web Apps, App Service Plans, Azure SQL, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management, and monitoring/observability tooling

• Experience migrating monoliths to cloud-native architectures

• Familiarity with React or other modern front-end frameworks

• Experience in financial or regulated environments (DNB, AVG, DORA)

• Passion for continuous learning, experimentation, and technical leadership
