You will join the Cyber Security Engineering team, a specialized unit within the Visma Security Operation Center (SOC). In our team we are responsible for setting the foundation of SOC hardware and software components. Our mission is to build strong tools, solutions, and services that enable every Visma company to predict, prevent, detect, and respond to security threats.

We don't just operate tools; we build the ecosystem that connects them. We are responsible for SOC Orchestration and Infrastructure, combining security engineering with a DevSecOps mindset.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a hybrid Cyber Security Engineer with strong software development skills. In this role, you will bridge the gap between operations and development. You will administrate our core security platforms while simultaneously writing the code that automates them, integrates them, and visualizes their data for our clients and internal teams.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

Full-Stack Development:

• Design, develop, and operate internal tools, portals, and dashboards using modern web technologies.

• Contribute to dashboards used by Visma companies to track their security levels.

Automation & Integrations:

• Develop and maintain custom scripts and automations to streamline service onboarding, data synchronization, and security metric collection.

• Build robust integrations between our security platforms (SIEM, SOAR, Threat Intel) to enrich data and automate response workflows.

Platform Engineering & Operations:

• Administrate, maintain, and monitor key SOC platforms.

• Ensure the health and performance of the infrastructure servers and tools that support the SOC.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Programming Skills:

• Strong proficiency in OOP (preferably Python, Powershell, C#) for backend automation and scripting.

• Experience with TypeScript and React for frontend development.

Security Knowledge:

• Practical experience with security concepts (EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability Management) and an understanding of the cyber threat landscape.

• Solid understanding of backend security best practices and data protection principles.

DevSecOps Mindset:

• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code principles.

• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.

API Experience:

• Work with REST APIs to glue different services together.

• Design and implement secure, well-documented RESTful API.

AI Enthusiast:

• Prompt engineering for Agentic AI and RAG.

• Experience related to Guardrails, LLMs, vector DB, MCP and custom agentic workflows.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Elastic Stack (ELK) query languages (KQL/EQL) and configuration.

• Knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization.

• Experience with Threat Intelligence platforms
