ABOUT THE ROLE
The Business Analyst is a critical role within our team, responsible for bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation. As we operate in the public cloud (Azure) and follow an API-first approach, this position requires an understanding of cloud technologies, APIs, and the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate business needs and requirements into technical specifications, working closely with Tech Leads to ensure seamless implementation.
Develop an understanding of our API-first architecture, including familiarity with OpenAPI Specification (OAS), REST principles, and BPMN (a nice-to-have).
Identify patterns, pain points, and opportunities for improvement within existing business processes.
Actively participate in the Agile development lifecycle, including backlog refinement, user story creation, and acceptance criteria definition.
Utilize project management tools like Jira (or equivalent) to track and manage tasks, issues, and project progress.
Become proficient in API testing tools like Postman to validate the functionality and integration of our cloud-based solutions.
Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices relevant to the role.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
3-5 years of experience in a business analyst or related role, ideally in a cloud-based, API-driven environment.
Understanding of cloud computing concepts.
Familiarity with API design, implementation, and testing, including knowledge of OpenAPI Specification (OAS) and REST principles.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
Proficiency in using project management tools like Jira (or equivalent) to track tasks, issues, and project progress.
Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex business problems and identify solutions.
Willingness to continuously learn and expand your technical skills to stay relevant in a rapidly evolving industry.
NICE TO HAVES:
Experience with BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) and its application in cloud-based solutions.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and their implementation in software development projects.
Certifications in relevant cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) or business analysis (e.g., CBAP, ECBA).
