About Business NXT
Business NXT is a new cloud-based ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system based on Visma Business, the most used ERP in Norway, which has a proven track record of adapting to different business processes, ensuring stability and automation. Business NXT is tailored for medium and large companies that need maximum performance, open API and integrations in the cloud. Business NXT also helps companies to comply with laws and regulations in their operations.
Business NXT is a solution from Visma Software that develops and sells cloud-based business systems in finance, logistics, payroll and reporting, for medium-sized and large companies. Visma Software has a large and dedicated R&D department with nearly 300 employees in 10 different countries.
Meet the Team
The team working with Business NXT consists of around 60 people, located in several countries: Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Norway, Romania, and Sweden. We are software developers, business analysts, infrastructure engineers, testers, designers, product specialists, and product owners. In our daily work, we are divided into smaller teams that are responsible for different parts of the development and operations. We are always ready to lend a hand and share our expertise with each other.
We value personal growth and dedicate every first Monday of the month to learning and development. On this day, we have no meetings and everyone can choose how to improve their skills, for example by studying, experimenting or focusing on a challenging task.
We aim to have live gatherings with our team and other R&D teams from time to time. Last time we met in Gran Canaria, where we had inspirational discussions, activities and fun together.
Know the Project
Business NXT is a cloud ERP solution hosted on Azure platform. Our backend is .NET, C++, and SQL, the frontend is Angular and React and our public API is based on GraphQL. We manage our infrastructure as code (IaC), deploy in Azure Kubernetes clusters and monitor with Grafana and custom monitoring solutions.
Our team's cloud ERP journey started from a proof of concept in 2020, selected pilot customers started in 2021 and it was launched in 2023. However, the system is not static and is constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of the market and the customers. One of the main challenges is to update the architecture and migrate the core business logic to the newer technologies, while maintaining compatibility and performance.
