Celebrating career stories

Inspiring journeys and achievements

  • I encourage everyone to pursue their ambitions with the commitment to do their absolute best

First things first, let's talk about career milestones

  • My career began as a support consultant in the Service Desk, providing exposure to all departments and enhancing my understanding of the organisational landscape. When the team manager role became vacant, I seized the opportunity, leveraging my experience to step out of my comfort zone and successfully secure the position. This transition marked a significant milestone, allowing me to develop leadership skills and manage a team effectively. Later, I took on the role of overseeing the Local Support department, managing teams across Norway, Denmark, and Romania and since 2021 I am managing the current team, which also has members across 4 different countries.

  • Mentorship has been pivotal in my career development, providing guidance, support, and inspiration at various stages. The influence of Mirela Miculescu was particularly significant in my decision to take on a team manager role and has helped me navigate challenges, recognize opportunities, and develop the skills needed for leadership roles. She has been my most influential mentor in deciding to take on the role of a team manager.

  • Before taking on the Major Incident Manager role, I was set on pursuing a purely technical path in my career. The skills I honed in this role—such as technical problem-solving, active listening, and clear communication—proved invaluable for my personal development. The exposure to a wide array of technical issues provided me with a unique perspective on the product life cycle, fostering a deep understanding of the services offered by Visma.

  • Reflecting on my career, it has significantly contributed to my personal growth. As a manager, I've learned to meticulously address people, carefully choosing my words and tone in every situation. This attention extends beyond work, shaping how I interact in daily life. Professionally, I've prioritised being mindful of others' feelings, adapting my behaviour based on responses and body language. This adaptability, a critical soft skill, enhances connections both at work and in personal relationships. Each mistake has been a teacher, fostering growth and resilience. Overall, my career has equipped me with invaluable skills, enriching my interactions and character. I appreciate the opportunities for growth and look forward to continuing this journey.
