1. Hi! What's your name and current role?

Hi there! My name is Rita Canavarro and I am an SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) at e-conomic, a product part of Visma Group.

2. Describe your team and the product you are developing in a few words.

The Amazing SRE team takes care of the reliability of the e-conomic product while also making sure that the Engineering teams are empowered to deliver and operate their software in an efficient and reliable manner.

3.  How did you first learn about Visma and what attracted you to join us?

I learned about Visma through Linkedin when one of the HR colleagues from the Visma Tech Portugal Center contacted me. Since our first talk, I got really excited with the company's view on People development and work culture.

4. What aspects of Visma culture have had the most significant impact on your day-to-day work?

The care and respect that everyone has for each other.

5. What benefits or perks offered by Visma do you find most valuable or unique?

The fact that we can work either at home or at the office and also the opportunities that we have to further develop our skills.
Not to mention, also the Porto Tech Center office and the SRE team which are amazing and made me feel welcome since day one.

6. How about your own story? How did you become an Engineer?

I decided to become a Computer Engineer because I wanted to spend my days in a creative environment and like my motto says - Code is Art that does something!

7. What do you like to do most outside of work?

Being in the company of loved ones, reading, painting, watching movies or playing video games (and all these activities are not mutually exclusive with being with the ones I care about which is awesome :D).
