Meet Visma Tech Portugal Team
Discover Sandra's Story
Sandra Larangeiro | Webflow Designer & Developer
1. Hi! What's your name and current role?
Hello! My name is Sandra, and I currently work as a Webflow designer & developer.
2. When have you joined Visma? Please tell us a few words about your first days/weeks here.
I joined Visma about a month ago, and it's been a great experience so far. The team is incredibly welcoming and friendly. I even had the opportunity to travel from Portugal to Denmark to meet my colleagues in person, as well as our amazing office in Copenhagen!
3. Describe your team and the product you are working on.
My team at Visma is responsible for the development, maintenance, and improvement of the group's websites made in Webflow. We are part of the Group Branding and Marketing department.
4. How would you describe working in a small company that is also a part of something bigger?
In my day-to-day, I don't feel like I'm working in such a large company. The welcoming and close-knit spirit of a smaller company remains. We get the agility of a small team but also benefit from the stability and resources that come from being part of a larger group. It's a unique combination.
5. How about your own story? What sparked your interest in software development in the first place?
Before joining Visma, I worked as a Digital Marketing Manager in one of Portugal's largest companies and later as a freelance Web Designer & developer. Despite my educational background not being in the tech field, I always had a passion for web design and development, which led me to take courses in UI Design & development and a Postgraduate degree in Web UX/UI Design. And here I am today, proudly working in the tech field!
6. What is your North Star both at work and in your personal life?
Both at work and in my personal life, my North Star is always wanting to learn more and to be a good human being.
7. What do you like to do most outside work?
Outside of work, I have various passions. I love to travel, play drums, read, study, engage in handcrafts, go to heavy metal concerts, and watch good movies and docs. But my main hobby is climbing, both indoors and outdoors!
